Wow.
Hows that for the proper usage of the English language to correctly isolate an emotional reaction to a situation?
Or even better WOW.
(that one was in CAPLOCKs for those that missed it)
Days like today are the epitome of why I would have such a hard time ever leaving this city.
Since Im not smoking now, I never actually went outside from my little programming dungeon for the duration of the day.
So it was a complete surprise for me when I opened the back door to push my bike out into the alley for my ride home this afternoon. My god it was beautiful.
Im sure I had a goofy smirk on my face for most of the ride home, but I simply couldnt believe how nice it had suddenly become. Today was definitely the first day of spring for me.
The air had a visual quality about it that was almost unreal. Almost void of any pariticulates what-so-ever and the mountains were so sharply outlined. So crisp as the horizon. The blue of the sky was surreal, the glass towers of yaletown even seemed too clean against it.
There was just something about this afternoon that was so absurdly beautiful.
This is a couple blocks down from my apartment:
I got home and found that that sun had invaded my apartment as well. Nemo came out to greet me, Morgan strutted his stuff in circles with his stuffed animal dujour in his mouth, and with the blinds open, the place was flooded with light. Didnt stink of smoke either, which is a nice change.
4 days, 20 hours, 52 minutes and 31 seconds smoke free.
122 cigarettes not smoked.
Tomorrow I guess I am waking up to day 6 and man this seemed so easy. (now)
Still having weird sleeping patterns happen to me, although I did actually sleep right through last night (Save for some strange dream to do with freakqueen that I totally cant remember.)
After I got home, I layed down in the sunshine on the couch to read some of the book I am currently reading, and of course woke up around 45 minutes later as the sun was going down. Didnt read more than two sentences and I was obviously out cold. When I woke up and saw the hue flooding my apartment though, I had to get the dog out there! We couldnt miss that!
I leashed him up, and him and I had a nice romantic stroll along the seawall for the sunset. How incredible cheesy, and how fucking nice that was.

You and Morgan look so happy together.
I'm honestly not trying to make it sound like a cult...
