Thank god that's over!
Three days of cortisone cream and antihistamines later, and I am finally back to my regular self.
Well that just wasn't much fun at all.
I came home from work early today. I took one of those antihistamine things this morning on an empty stomach, then took some Buckley's for my persistent cough, and 20 minutes later I felt sick to my stomach and shaky.
So, like a walking pharmaceutical experiment, I took a gravol to combat the nausea that prompted.
Got to work, sat down at my desk, and I couldn't even focus on the monitor.
I felt really really 'out of it' and started to have trouble keeping my eyes open. I don't think I have ever fainted, but I can honestly say that I now know what that must feel like. I think it must have been some strange interaction between the gravol and the antihistamine.
An hour later, I came back home and went straight to bed. I fell asleep and slept straight through to 2:00 this afternoon.
that was really strange, I can never sleep that easily in the day time.
In doing so, however, I cancelled the day off I was going to take on Monday.
I was going to take it off as a vacation day due to Sunday night (YAY! Still totally excited about that... thanks you guys!) So now I am just going to have to pace myself on Sunday and keep an eye on my booze consumption. (heh, yeah sure.)
I have some strange thing going on in this place. I used to have 3 dustpans in this apartment. About a month ago, I swept up the living room and then I could not locate a single one of my dustpans. I searched EVERYWHERE and finally just accepted the fact that I simply did not have one in this apartment.
Begrudgingly, I went out and bought a new one.
I just finished an hour long corner to corner search of this place for that new dustpan.
Once again, I am accepting the fact that its just simply gone.
How is it possible to lose 4 dustpans? They arent exactly small.
I think I must be throwing them out or something. Like maybe I have some strange brain thing going on where I sweep up, open the garbage can, and then instead of dumping the contents of the dustpan, I must be just throwing the whole thing in there, dustpan, contents and all.
I know that doesnt sound probable, but its the only explanation I can come up with.
(Maybe theres some strange alien species out there that read their project instructions wrong and they keep abducting my dustpans.)
Anyways, I think I have an exciting Friday night coming up. I am feeling particularly down today for no particular reason, I dont really feel like speaking to anybody or going anywhere, and I think I am just going to make myself a nice dinner, (salmon, broccoli, yams) and clean house. I foresee a long night of laundry, mopping, and trips to the BFI bin out back.
Yeah, I know Im outta control!
