Dudes, our band opened for the Beach Boys last night!!! Now come on, you know that's cool, that's over the top cool. You also know that you can sing the lyrics to all of their songs and can't help but start dancing to them. That is something that goes on our resume, for sure. Also there was Dean Torrence from Jan and Dean. We had a fantastic time, handed out business cards and demos. After we finished I went down to the other stage and started dancing to the songs. I spotted an old neighborhoodie who was about 12-13 when she moved away. She used to come over and play with our cat. Damn, have the years ever been good to her! I danced with her and some of her friends and just in general with the whole crowd.
I tried to bring my van down to load up some equipment and the guy that was directing traffic at the gate decided to become a Nazi, and threatened to ruin the whole mood of the evening. Finally I found a friend of mine who's a radio personality and who was organizing the event, and she took charge and rescued me from having to go ballistic on his ass.
Anyway, all's well as ends well. It was an excellent, if chaotic, event. We are da bomb!!!
