Just saw a most interesting program on History Channel about "Dragons"; all world cultures have dragon mythology with striking similarities, etc. Several scientists had hypotheses on how this developed, e.g. finding dino bones, primeval fears of the dark, of methane fires, of the unknown. Some were fairly plausible. What they barely touched on was the "dragon" within, the Archetype. No one mentioned the Kundalini, for example, or the Cadeucis, or the Jungian analysis of the unconscious - I suppose that would be another 2 hour installment. Also no exploration of the linguistic roots, or anything vampiric, like Vlad Dracul, etc. Still it was a good show and I found it fascinating.
