Less than a week to go before I am back in my homeland. Honolulu is a wonderful place once you leave for a while. It will be nice to get home and set my clock to Hawaiian time again. For anyone who doesn't know what hawaiian time is (and I don't mean PST) it is why people in hawaii are often late. It basically means "eventually". Anyway, all my bags are packed, andI'm ready to go, soon a taxi cab will be tooting it's horn. And there will be no one to wake up to say good bye. Not just because my flat mates are going to be out of town, but also because I'll be leaving at 9am or so for the airport. it will be good bye to my friend I have known for half of my life, and his wife and the Fert (not a typo, thats just what I call the ferret). Good bye Pennsylvania, it was nice while it lasted and now I'm off to reclaim my place as just another guy with a camera in hawaii. Hello beaches, sun and sand. Hello to all the familiar faces I left behind. Hello opportunities to suspend with Hawaiian Time Suspension (my suspension team) and hello to my island girl whom I wonder why I ever left in the first place. All I need to do is survive the snow tomorrow, then the trip to the airport next wednesday, and then the 16 hours of passenger flight time I'll log on the way home. Wish me luck and I'll drink a beer on the beach for you all when I get home.
