Good night tonight.
Went over to my ex-wife's house (hereafter cleverly referred to as: The Ex) to setup the computer I reloaded for my son. As much as I dislike XP, telling him to just click his name (with the car icon next to it) to log in is pretty easy. Ended up having dinner over there and playing computer games with my son.
I've got to say, as divorces and ex-wives go, I got pretty lucky in that we all still get along fairly well.
After that was dinner and drinks with Opera Boy while he's still here. We ended up at El Torito at The Block. We sat outside, and the music was way too loud, but we had a good time (ever had an slightly-tipsy conversation trying to explain classless netmasks to someone?). Then we walked over (while it was dry) to Starbucks. Naturally, it started pouring while we were drinking our coffee (and playing Scrabble on my Palm Pilot), so we got soaked on the walk back to the car. Neither of us had brought jackets, so we just resigned the fact that we were going to get wet, and walked calmly through the rain with our heads held high. We moseyed from the Starbucks at one end of The Block back to El Torito at the other end.
Good Times...
One of my next couple of posts is going to be a, "Things you don't know about phraktyl" list. It was going to be tonight, but it's past 1:00am, and I'm friggin' tired.
