Amazing spring breeze is blowing through the windows and starts the unthawing of this winter hibernation. The change of seasons calling me like a Led Zeppelin song as I mentally roll down another road heading for open skies, lost love, and memories in the making...

Went to Atlantic City this week with a friend for a few days. He has an obsession with the poker...

Cold AM night drive down 81 with no heat and fading radio stations, Fog the whole way, and the only thing to do was just lock into auto pilot, watch the short white lines pulsate and allow the mind to wander. Rolled into Roanoke around 3:30 and followed the directions to the "studio" where my friends are now living. Roanoke, Virginia aka "Star City", the...

Yeah, it was nice hanging out and having one of my first real conversations with someone since I've been on the road. I don't have much internet access...so if you e-mail me your address I will be able to tell you my road stories easier that way.

Wow, had a great time at the SG burlesque show. The DC show was sold out so we headed to the Baltimore show the next night and just squeaked in on the last few remaining tickets. While watching the opening band I noticed Morgan standing in front of me with the tip bucket and wearing a pink wig. I was like hey bla, bla, bla...

No sleep last night and I've been running around in the snow all day. I'm over the morning high and giggles, and have now crossed into gravity's hold. Pulling at me, beckoning me to cash in and give way. There is clarity in exhaustion...

I don't have alot to say at the moment... It seems when I'm traveling I never have enough time to write, but when I'm not there is just not much to tell. I quess thats a curse that goes along with the movement of the road. I never quite feel like myself when I'm stationary and not up against the uncertainly. So I wait, I...

Yeah Harry Anderson bought El Matador, But he was a total prick about it, he walked into the bar and announced to the bartenders that they were out of jobs because he bought the building. He also bought the building that FiFi Mahoneys was in a couple of years ago and they had to find a new location.

I like LA, things are more expensive here and I am annoyed that I can't drink outside and the drink prices are outrageous. But I love that with the smoking laws the bars aren't smoky. Things have been a little tough money wise because I have to restablish myself as a tattoo artist here. And people can't drive, its even worse than NOLA. The whole is worth it when it's 75+ degrees and the rest of the country is freezing their butts off.

How do you like DC?

yeah, yeah and then, oh get this, you would never belive it. no really? I can't belive it either. yeah i told you you wouldnt belive it. so what about that other thing? yeah you know. dont be shy it written all over your face, everyone knows. ok you know i cant tell a lie, I did and you would to... so whats up this...

You were at the "Here and Now" party in NOLA?
I tried to see if I remembered you, but your profile pic is too small and you have no other photos.

Where did you move to?
I know you miss NOLA but alot has changed in the last year. Shim Sham Club, The Hideout and El Matador have all closed down. The bad economy in the country has hit New Orleans very hard. Crime is way up and I have Bartender friends who have lost their jobs because of lack of tourists. I hope things get better for my friends who still live there. Altho I may never live there again I will have to go to visit. I miss the people and the food so much.

A flying, burning object exploded into my eye last night, and now I'm a cripple. It was certainly a traumatic ,domestic, apocalyptic moment but somehow very hilarious in it's delivery. Doctors say I'll be able to keep the eye, which kind bums me out cconsidering I secretly want to be a pirate. ARRR!!!

Obsessions in the darkroom printing new negatives/photographs from the last road trip... late nights. It seems the only sun I've seen for the last two weeks has been from the halo creeping around my curtains before I fall asleep and when I wake up. The term trogladite comes to mind and I've come to enjoy these silent late nights. Nights and quiet like floating on...

"What is that feeling when your driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing?- it's the too-huge world vaulting us, and it's good-by. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture benath the skies."

just finished watching a pbs program on a womens writing program in prision. Its leaving me with the thoughts of how much we take for granted on a daily basis. Gives me a sense of what it's like to live in an eviovment where everything is taken away, and how those restrictions can make you reavaluate the amazing world that is available to us.

Another journal entry from the US.1 road trip to Key West. First night in Key West and I'm hanging around the local bar named The Green Parrot. It's about midnight and I've been drinking Rum and Cokes with some old school bikers out front of the bar. There's a band about to play another set of swinging blues, and I find my way to the...

in the words of Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Indian Elder:

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I
want to know what
you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your
heart’s longing.

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know
if you will risk
looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the...
