Get To Know A Photographer Q&A - @madnessphotography
- 1. How long have you been a photographer?
- 2. Why did you choose to pursue a career as a photographer?
- I chose this career as a photographer because I have such a strong love for the arts. I enjoy creating images with people and seeing them genuinely happy afterwards.
- 3. Besides photography what are your interests/hobbies?
-
- I love BAKING (its something I've really been invested in over the last year so far), cooking, crafting, gaming, dancing, animals, cinema (movies especially). One day I hope to add traveling to the list ( I want more than anything to sight see, explore and shoot all over).
- 4. What are your 5 favorite SG shots?
5: Which is your favorite lens? Why?
- my favorite lens would have to be my newest one, sigma 50mm 1.4 art.
- I'm still learning how to use it but from the few times I've had it is amazing in quality. Thank you @SOBELLE who suggested it to me <3
- 6. Whose work has influenced you most?
- 7. What one superpower would you want and why?
- This may sound like a lame power some but hear me out, my super power would be to control water. I'm so in love with all things in and around water (mermaids, ocean life, boats..etc). I just love the water ( I even live by the beach) so to able to control an element like that would be epic.
- 8. What kind of gear do you use?
- NIKON!! I feel like not many staff uses Nikon at all lol.
- 9. What is the most rewarding part of being a photographer for you?
-
- The joy from bring a vision to life and seeing all those involved so happy with the finished product. That to me is so rewarding.
- 10. What kind of tools do you use for post processing?
- Photoshop and Lightroom.
- 11. What does photography mean to you?
- Photography to me is everything, I've devoted so much of life to something that gives myself and others so much joy. To be able create, travel, meet new people and learn new things feels like a life well lived.
- 12. If you could time travel, when/where would you go?
- I would go back 5 years ago, to when my mother was alive. I would want her to know that everyone is doing ok and we're finally in a good place since her passing.
- 13. What is the most difficult part of being a photographer for you?
- I'm typically very critical on myself, even when the models love the images I always feel as though I could have did better. I'm always comparing my work and trying my best to improve in places I feel as though I fell short in.
- 14. What makes the good picture stand out from the average?
- I would say emotion first, you want to feel something. Also light and colors.
- 15. What inspires you?
- Movies and tv shows
- 16. What is your favorite shot someone else has taken?
- I feel every set either @MIDNIGHT or @CAUSTIX comes out with is always jaw dropping.
- so her set "heat wave honey" with caustix lives rent free in my mind.
- 17. Is there an image that sums up you best?
my babies!! I'm a dedicated and proud mom to two amazing kids who bring me nothing but joy.
- 18. Tell us something about yourself that no one would guess?
- I'm a super competitive gamer lol. People never take me seriously when I say that lol but TRUST ME when it comes to fighting video games or even board games I won't stop till I win.
- 19. What is your favorite shot you have ever taken?
- It's honestly too many to choose from, however one would be when I shot with Raquel Reed for the cover a pinup magazine. (back when I did a lot of fashion photography shoots)
- 20. Whatβs the best piece of advice youβve ever been given?
- The best advice I've ever been given is to never give up on something you're passionate about. Always push yourself to learn something new. And just enjoy the little things.
