You shoulda gone babe. Your boyfriend should be telling you how beautiful you are, which you truly are. If he aint, he isn't holding up his half of the relationship very well. Or he's being one of those dicks that likes to keep his girl torn down so she won't realize she could do so much better than him. Seen that way too many times.

I agree with MicaMars. You should have gone just for the experience. Plus, having family close by can be important. If your bf is not truly there for you, then you need ppl who are. Even if he doesn't understand your insecurities or sadness, he should still be offering comforting words and letting you know how beautiful you are to him and how much he loves you. You stayed FOR him, he should be telling you how much he appreciates that and how it makes him so happy that you love him that much...
