car update..........
ok, so i really lucked out on this.....it turns out that there is nothing wrong with the heads, there was an air bubble in the system, my husband and a friend let the car completely cool down, and put water in it, and it's fine....with the a/c running full blast, the temp is now holding at mid-level.........so everything is fine! If i had blown the engine, it would have been a very costly mistake., a brand new engine for my particualr car would cost at least $7000.........i was just around the corner from my house when the temp red-lined, and i could have blown it up, but i wasnt thinking and drove it home, needless to say, hubby yelled at me for that one.......he calmed down, but it was stupid on my part, i do ususally know better.....but once again, i was just lucky!........i am also going to be getting one of the O2 sensors replaced this weekend that has gone bad, and in a few weeks when i have a bit more money i will replace the other 3.....ah, i love this shit!!!
