last saturday, my mom called and let me know that my grandfather had died. granted, i was expecting it, but that don't help much. he was an awesome man and i'll truly miss him. guess now i'll have to tell his old Korea stories all the time. LOL....nah, that was his thing. it was kinda cool though because even though we didn't have a full military funeral, i was able to present his flag to my grandmother. that was absolutely awesome. kinda tough, but everyone said i did good. hope i made him proud.
in other news, it's about time for me to get my flabby ass back into shape. i consider myself very lucky right now because my NCO and officer leadership is looking out for me. i took a PT test right after i got off profile recovery and missed my run by 14 seconds. in other words, i failed the run portion. it should have been a diagnostic test, but was counted as a record. back was KILLIN me. well, like i said, my leadership was lookin out for me and got the unit to change it to a diagnostic instead of a record test. that kinda got me motivated to get my shit together. granted, the back will always hurt, and so far, i see things only getting worse as time goes by. HOWEVER, that don't mean i can't get my weights back out and i need to head back into the hotbox(sauna). the weights started back tonight and the sweating begins again tomorrow. summertime is here and if it stops rainin, the bike will be comin back out too. so yeah, anyway...i again, consider myself lucky, because when i start lifting, i get that "pump" pretty quick. now, if i can just get the belly to go away, i'll be good to go.
so yeah, that's bout it for me these days. i'll keep things updated here and there
