I'm fixated on moving to Seattle now. Anyone ever been there that can tell me more about it?

I haven't even visited. But i'm tired of being here and from what I hear about Seattle, it seems like my kind of place. The music scene is definitely way more my style. So this time next year, I'm moving.
Either there, or somewhere in the northwest. Maybe Portland, or northern California. I've decided I hate New York City. Not that i hate my life living here in Brooklyn. But i hate what Manhattan is. and I'm starting to get really disenchanted with what Brooklyn is. Is there such thing as an artistic community that's not subject to the influence of trends and a fake subculture that's just like the rest of the world?
Oh. And i'm totally not into the Brooklyn indie music scene. At this point, i feel MGMT and TV On The Radio can both kiss my ass.
