I jammed with Jimmy on thursday night (from midnight to 1 ) and it was really funny. The only song we worked on was pretty stripped down and punk, but it was just so fucking wonderful to play with other musicians. I haven't played with a drummer in um... like 2 years? I played pseudo-bass on my guitar, and then right at the end i gave the Marshall half-stack a test-drive and everybody seemed to like what i did. I found out today that they're gonna give the 2nd guitarist the boot, and I'm gonna take his slot. Hopefully me and Jimmy will get together and start brainstorming some song ideas We'll be short a bassist, but we can work that out later. I'm just super happy.
oh yes. and i'm gonna get a kitty cat if my landlords let me. I'm SO excited for that. Though let it be known that NOBODY will ever replace Tigger in my heart. He's my heterosexual life-mate.

that... pretty much is all i can say
What you wrote is of course true, I completely agree that one should pursue something they're passionate about, do it their own way still not completely shun the advice of others in the field and keep at it. I think in my case, I am not sure what it is I AM passionate about. Like passionate enough, to take on the journey which is required. To be able to pursue something whole-heartedly I have a feeling that one must be pretty damn sure.
However I've realized that I'm certainly not going to get any more sure by sitting around on my ass waiting for this revelation to come to me. I'm just going to have to keep busy and one day it might all come into place. I hope.
Are you doing much studio recording or is the schools focus more around live, concert sound-engineering?
