So I have a really close friend that was diagnosed with ALS about 4 years ago. He went from roughly 220lbs of pure muscle to basically skin on bone. I think he was hovering around the 100lbs mark.
This past weekend we had a fundraiser for him. The turnout was truly amazing. We raised just shy of $3500 for him. For the small town we come from, it's very generous.
So basically the message is that if you think you've got it bad....trust me...there are people far worse off than you. Just seeing what he's living through makes me even stronger to fight against whatever trivial shit this world might through at me.
