maybe it's j.g. thirlwell's fault but lately my dreams have just been getting more and more amazingly clever and it's actually starting to piss me off because i wish i could be that interesting when i was awake, too. this one from last night, though, was more noteworthy than usual.
i can't remember what it's name was, exactly, but the united states military had a some kind of sonic weapon that it used regularly. there would be a loud noise, and then destruction of some sort. this wasn't considered to be especially frightening or horrific, on the contrary, the sonic attacks were quite popular. but not with the usual flag-junky set. uses of the weapon were referred to as concerts and publically advertised with those silkscreen gig posters that are oh-so-vogue these days. and by extension, the thing was very popular among the indie crowd.
now there's an idea for drumming up support for a war. silk screen old school propaganda and get hipsters to ironically like it. anyways, that was what my subconscious shat out around 2:30 this morning.
