My basement is almost done. My house has been a disaster for the last 3 months, but we just have the final clean-up/touch-up and the county inspection. The my life can return to some sense of normalcy.

Saw the Dresden Dolls last night at the 9:30 club, and as expected, they were awesome. I had such a good time. Lots of cool clothing and some very interesting people. Standing the whole time (4+ hours for all the bands) wasn't as much fun, but they put on such a good show. Loved it!!!!

I am a little sore, a little tired and sunburned, but I had a fantastic weekend. I went camping for the first time in about 3 or 4 years with Thudfactor, the elf and BBKF. After a late start yesterday (logistic issues), we made it to Maryland for some hiking. The findings:

Well, the poker was fun. I almost killed a 12 pack of Saranac, and I think I lost about 40 bucks (on nickel, dime, quarter betting)! A good time was had by all and I saw a bunch of people that I hadn't seen in a couple of years. Money well spent.

Another week. I am so ready for the weekend. The commute really is starting to bug me, but I am not quite ready to move on or find something else, so I guess I better suck it up. No carpool tomorrow, so it looks like slugging tomorrow, then back for some poker with the guys.
