Saw the Dresden Dolls last night at the 9:30 club, and as expected, they were awesome. I had such a good time. Lots of cool clothing and some very interesting people. Standing the whole time (4+ hours for all the bands) wasn't as much fun, but they put on such a good show. Loved it!!!!

I am a little sore, a little tired and sunburned, but I had a fantastic weekend. I went camping for the first time in about 3 or 4 years with Thudfactor, the elf and BBKF. After a late start yesterday (logistic issues), we made it to Maryland for some hiking. The findings:

Well, Fall is finally here. I am going to hate having less daylight, as driving to and from work in the dark really sucks, but the calender is full of good stuff for the next couple of months. Classes started back up today for BBKF. She came home this afternoon looking (and feeling) really tired. The contractor called and he will start on the basement, which means my personal bar will be open for business in about 6-8 weeks. Well, the poker was fun. I almost killed a 12 pack of Saranac, and I think I lost about 40 bucks (on nickel, dime, quarter betting)! A good time was had by all and I saw a bunch of people that I hadn't seen in a couple of years. Money well spent.

Another week. I am so ready for the weekend. The commute really is starting to bug me, but I am not quite ready to move on or find something else, so I guess I better suck it up. No carpool tomorrow, so it looks like slugging tomorrow, then back for some poker with the guys.

Superbusy week with rehearsals and shows on Friday & Saturday night. Hopefully things will slow down a bit now the class is over. Here is an old music joke that still makes me laugh:

Another good week of drinking. I managed to try and catch up up at work. I also made a run down to NC on Saturday and went to see the Potomac Nationals loose badly to the Fredrick Keys. I think it was 15 to 3. But it was nice to spent some quality time with my dad.

Well a week of drinking and hanging out at the beach is MUCH better than a week at work. Monday will come soon enough and I will be back in the grind.

I should have my new Ipod by the end of the week!!! I can't wait!!!

Mardi Gras is almost over...I hope you had a good time. I am on the verge of a cold (cough...hack). I am too busy to be sick. Maybe the vodka and cranberry juice will help. Cheers!
