So I was talking about doing things that make you feel good recently. Yesterday I had a bit of a slump which was mostly due to staying in all day, feeling really unproductive because all I did was write, think too much about what I needed to do (without actually doing it), or fight with the internet connection for a number of hours without success. Hours & hours. Just gone with nothing to show for it. I did think of 3 positive things that happened, I had put on makeup, spoke to my best friend back home & watched the Eagles game - let's not dwell on the fact that the Vikings won!
I also realised I needed a little bit of a reset after confiding in my sister when she came home from work. Today, that came in the form of a walk. It wasn't far, but it was needed & made such a big difference to my mood. Just getting out of the house and feeling some sun / getting some fresh air... well, it was really nice. I'm on holiday after all. Though I'm still technically working too, really hard actually, making sure you don't forget my existence on socials, responding to enquiries, creating content, etc. I need to remind myself that it's perfectly ok to switch off fully, even if temporarily. People will understand. People will still be there when I return.
Anyway, I didn't get many pics but I've shared (below) what I could from my mini "adventure", exploring the neighbourhood on foot (I've only driven around here so that made a change). Here you see my excited face setting off, a nice shot of local bins in the background, followed by a street to the main road. My shadow appeared and #legsfordaysdays came to mind. I saw a funfair in the distance but didn't make it that far as I came across a dead rat along the main road (spare a thought, RIP Ramsey). On the way back I spotted a subway in the distance (noted for future visits) & school bus (quite cool for British people). Desert mountains across the horizon in all directions. A quick fire hidrant on the way back (I don't know either) topped with my relieved face at the end, after I'd got lost (wrong turning) & found the house again (shout out to google maps and free data).
So 3 positive things from today:
1. The fact that my sis made me breakfast (complete with English breakfast tea!) after knowing I'd had a bad day yesterday and forgot to eat.
2. My walk, of course!
And 3. I got to talk to someone back home again, which warmed my heart.
Basically, do things that make you feel good and focus all your energy on the positives. Yeah. Could've just said that really. You're welcome. ☺️

Yeah I always say walks are the best remedy to boost your mood a bit. Definitely helps me. Glad your doing walks, I usually do my walks alone. It definitely helps. Glad your enjoying your holiday and spoke with your friend back home. Nice of your sister to make you breakfast in bed. Hope things get better for you and do more walks, I recommend it. It definitely helps. And congrats on this blog being Front Page. Hopefully one of your sets is next! 😉👍🏻
