Pheme phoot update.
It hurts.
It hurts.
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I was going to end my entry there but I'll expand.
It hurts but not as much as it did on Friday night, which I am taking to mean it's getting better.
Yesterday my mother, Zorba and I took the kids to see Walking with Dinosaurs.
(Unless your kids are WAaaAy into dinosaurs and you sit close, save your money I wasn't impressed)
We took the train into Manhattan and because my kids were terrified of taking the shuttle we were going to walk to MSG.
It's a looOoong fucking walk with two good feet never mind a gimpy one!
We walked one block and Zorba took one look at my face and hailed a cab.
Got to the Garden and realized our seats were at gate 93.
Anyone of you know the Garden know that gate 93 is the very TOP of the Garden.
Up the esclators we go.
Sat through the show barely staying awake.
Exit from the Garden.
Again, if you know the Garden you know you ride the escalators up but to go down they turn OFF the excalators and you walk down.
Well, apparently that was too much of a mind fuck for the families in attendance because we stood still for about 10 minutes before the line began to move.
Later on I realized that it was the large amount of families with strollers holding up the line.
What's new with that?
Couldn't find a taxi so we begin to walk.
My kids are not NYC walkers and I had to pull them along before we got a cab.
Don't ask me where we were when we finally got a cab, my mind was focusing on not getting my foot stepped on.
Got the very last seats in the train to come home.
Kids went with my mother I went with Zorba who was a c omplete sweetie!
He made sure I kept my foot up and iced and fed me and beered me.
And made sure I was SATISFIED....before we both had to go to the theater to "Load in" my set.
Today, I have to teach an aerobic dance class.
Should be fun.
The foot is better and doesn't hurt as much when I walk in sneakers.
Then it's kids to cousins house, me to visit the ex Mother in Law (who is in the hospital) and then off to Zorba's for hopefully more satisfaction!

Glad that Zorba is taking good care of you. Be good to that foot, m'dear! No need for heroics all the time! You need some of these. They'll make your footies feel better
Yes, I succumbed to blatant marketing and consumerism when I saw Walking with Dinos. Had to! My collection was screaming for them! It was a moral imperative!
Take care, lovie! Rest that foot and get all the satisfaction you can. (waves back with jazz hands)
Brave woman to face dinos at the Garden. For my nephews I buy little plastic ones and do a little play explaining how the dinosaurs died and are now worth over $100 a barrel in our free market economy.
