So...fun story time. If you haven't read yesterday's journal, you might want to before reading this so you understand. Last night, I wrote the apartment complex people a nasty letter, I mean, really hostile. Normally, I'm so shy and reserved. But I told them I was disgusted with the way that they handled this, and I'd really like a fucking peephole, and I've lost all this money in groceries to the ants. I gave them that and a money order for $550, telling them I'd pay the retarded-ass late fees tomorrow.

So today at 11:30, I get a knock on my door. I figure it's management coming to fuck with me some more, so I open the door pretty unhappy.

The guy outside says he's maintenance here to give me a peephole and put out ant poison/bait. And he had a letter for me from management saying that since I so promptly dealt with the issue, and to compensate for having to deal with the ants, they're going to cut the late fees like in half. So now they want $75 instead of $200.

Oh yes, I was finally bold enough to stand up for myself once and it paid off. *sigh*

And so, today is ultimately happy. I still don't know where I'll get the $75, or the money for my other bills, but oh well. I stood up for myself and it worked.
