if i closed my eyes long enough,
i bet i could hear the sweet smell of blue skies.
those same heavens which were so easily pick-pocketed by hooded thieves dressed in jade.
shattered hope tells me i'm allowed to touch loud voices.
frequencies be sold, the faint of my heart is in rampant eradication.
perhaps i shall keep my eyes open for a while. perhaps i shall let them close.
