so i might get a new bass neck via ups tomorrow. my first bass is dead ... its an Epiphone PJ nass and ive had the lil guy for about12 years now. a week ago i decided to hot rod it out. its already got upgraded pickups in it (EMGs) and last week i ordered a new neck. the new neck is a warmoth fender replacement but it should fit prefectly. its got a J bass profile and a tele bass headstcok; its maple w/ rosewood fingerboard and a corina nut.
i also ordered new schaler tuners too. so ups says some package that weighs 4.4 lbs is gonna be delivered to me from warmoth tomorrow. im hoping its the neck and tuners but its possible that its just the tuenrs with soem heavy ass packaging ... we'll see/
if its the enck and tuner ill go to the guitar store saturday and buy a Badass II bridge and take it to my guitar tech (yes, i have a guitar tech) and have him supe the fucker out,
its gonna be quite the upgrade and i have a feeling this bass will rule when its done ... all of it will be modded except for the body. that active electronics and the new bridge should midigate the fact that its a sub par epiphone body
