Lookie! A new profile pic. For anyone wondering, that's my oft-mentioned one-eared cat Roa. She is obviously not enjoying being held...Anyway, the old pic was two years old and I bear very little resemblance to that image now...
So I was supposed to go to a party this afternoon - really didn't understand the logic behind an afternoon party, but since my ride out to the 'burbs never came by I guess I don't have to worry about it.
Now all I have to worry about is the mini-documentary that cl0ckworkorange is going to make about me next week...
Which means I can spend the day at the coffee shop finishing Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha. Someone left a copy in the lab so I decided it was a good time to re-read it after 7 years or so. I remember back then that someone said that my name, which in Gaelic means "dweller by the river crossing", was very significant in relation to how the book ends...
So far this morning I've been listening to Daevid Allen And Robert Wyatt solo albums and wishing with all my heart that they'd collaborate on something after 30 years...
I'd also like to take a second to welcome Geza_X to the site. If you don't know who he is, then you have a lot to learn. The music he helped create shaped the person that I am today...And it looks like he's just as much of a bad-ass as ever. Its always amazing to see people burning bright.
UPDATE: hey, y'all! My gurlfrien' is on da interweb: http://windycityrollers.com/league/penny_royalty/
Ah, wut fun
(the part in her bio about the Pink Panther painting and the Polaroids is true, except that I found them...and there were only about 80 Polaroids of random girls in bikinis. But the painting of the Pink Panther on the toilet is hanging in my bathroom right now)
