Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes...
And for the all insults over this past week...
I ♥ you all...

Didn't have an eventful b-day, though. Not a big fan of them. But I treated myself to a giant cheeseburger and a couple of pints of Pabst at one of my favorite bars (breaking my 2 week vegetarian streak) and watched the presidential debate at home while moving furniture. I was supposed to have had new windows installed today, had to get everything out of the way. Woke up early this morning but the guy never showed up...called my landlord to find out what was going on, he said the guy decided not to show. So everything is back in place now, but I have to do it all again next week.
Trying to get things together for the paper bag puppet movie...want to have it finished by the end of winter, if not sooner. The problem now is finding a dv camera. The person who offered to loan a digital camera/shoot the film is being rather flakey, so it looks like I'll have to just start saving up and buy one myself. Hell, even if I do get to borrow a dv camera for this project I'm still going to need my own eventually...
In the meantime, anyone have a working super-8 camera that they'd like to sell?



Damn. Just remembered that I have to evacuate my apartment. The Chicago Marathon is tomorrow and it goes down my street. In fact, they set up a big water station a block away, complete with a huge loudspeaker system continually blasting awful music. So unless I want to be trapped being a solid wall of runners while being assaulted by "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and that Kenny Loggins song from Top Gun, I have to get the hell out of here tonight and find a place to stay... Last year they started the ordeal at 7 AM. Couldn't sleep because of the 80s power ballads and I was out of cigarettes but couldn't get across the street to buy more because of the runners. Admittedly, it was interesting to watch at first, but after hours of Heart songs and the overwhelming need for nicotine and caffeine (I was also out of coffee) I was ready to mow through them all in a tank.
