I so rarely ask for anything, and I don't know if anyone ever reads my blog, but I have to make my plea; Friends in SG land, the gamers, the awesome, I am taking on one of the biggest challenges I have ever had to face; for the second year in a row, I am trying to raise money for Extra Life, a charity that donates all proceeds to the Children's Miracle Network.
Why?!
To Help kids! Sick kids. Kids who are being super brave and fighting an even tougher challenge than the task I have. These kids are fighting disease and injury. I'm sure you all know what that's like. How terrible and scary it is being sick. Most of us will be lucky, but there a lot of children out there that won't. Some may have to spend weeks, months or years in treatment. Worse, it's expensive and a lot of their families cannot afford the extreme costs of dealing with long term and in some cases terminal illness.
That's where Extra Life the Children's Medical Network and you come comes in. Through donations large and small, the Miracle network connects kids with care and families with support to get through a very stressful and scary and often painful time.
You can help ease that pain. You can help bring smiles to children's faces, even though you may never meet them in person and they may not even know you helped them. Think of yourself as a Guardian Angel, casting a little light down on those who need it most.
I got involved in this charity last year because my man Dizzy posted it on his twitter. As a social services worker who deals with underprivileged children and families everyday, I saw it as just another opportunity to help out and because the Miracle Network has extended and improved life for two very brave little brothers I know who have MS. The chances of these little guys reaching adulthood or even graduating high school is very slim; but I know without a doubt that the time they have left with their families, in between the many trips to the hospital, is made a lot easier and less stressful because of the help provide by the Children's Miracle Network and BC Children's Hospital. I know it makes a difference. I've seen the smiles.
Anything helps and if you don't want to support me because I'm not in your neck of the woods in North America, please browse the sight for someone close to you, check twitter. Gamers from all over the NA are participating and playing for the kids. My goal is $500 after I hit my initial goal of $200. I woiuld love to raise as much money as possible, again, everything helps.
If your a gamer, or you hate video games, or you don't know what one is, do it. Do it because it's right.
Don't make me get Matt Damon on you! (insert Extra Life where Matt Damon says One By One foundation)

I'd post pics of myself but I'm not that attractive. However, if you have a set in Member's review, I will spam it here if you donate! Seriously!
I thank you for reading and for helping out. Peace y'all.
