Not a bad weekend. My boys in the bulldog suits managed a to pull off a win and a tie against Notre Dame no less, which is a always a good way to start the year. Although my lack of a TV is really starting to bite me since it's just not the same listening to a game on the radio. Oh well, price you...

My lake is sooooooo nice. I don't know why I keep leaving it behind. Oh right, my job. Errrrrr!! Nothing like a night of chasing drunk baseball fans around so that a few poor graphic designers can get some sleep to really take the edge off of, what was shaping up to be, a personal record for consectutive days of chirpyness. Although it did give...

Well I never turn down any of the ladies I always like it though when they pull out the friends thing. For instance the last girl I started to date when I asked her if she wanted to do something another night she replied. Sure I would like to hang out. Just give me a call. I would still like to be friends. I guess I make a good friend though.
littlequeenie:
What? Graphic Designers sleep? No way! That's the first I've ever heard of that.
I should know some blow off lines.....I've been turned downed so many times, I've lost count.
hmmmmmmm......
you know it's funny, everytime you need to think about something the mind goes blank.......
I'll think about it and get back to ya.

I think I'm getting too much sleep lately 'cause I have been uncontrolably manic and bubbly the last few days. Even though, by right, I should be livin' in bummer city (as my aunt used to say) since I'm missing all the ingredients for contentedness (according to everyone who've been so kind to point it out to me). I'm a complete failure in everything that...

Well as long as you are feeling good then I think the other stuff should take the back seat. I can kind of relate to what you are saying. I had a lot of friends move away and my life took a much different direction over the past 6 months or so. Yet I am feeling pretty good for the most part. I as well need to find me a lady friend though. Its been a long time here as well
Well I hope your inner discovery lake trip thingy magig turns out.

Have fun @ the lake. I'll be in Duluth this weekend!
Glad to hear you're happy with how life is goin' for ya! I'm kind of in the same boat, but I sway back and fourth on the happy-scale. But, good for you for doing what you want to do!

My whining and somewhat depressing entry yesterday was so not needed. So today it's time to get back on track. Fortunatly its easy 'cause today was kickin' (explanation: as night-shifter my day starts at 6:00pm and ends around 10:00am). The hotel was super calm. I got to feel my brains puddle into my shoes when the cutest girl (with red hair and freckles no less)...

I don't know why but reading about the rabid squirrels and tricks makes me think of that eminem song "The Kids" I know I'm a weirdo.

Well, I suppose...
Aaahhh, what would my job be like without drunks? What would I do with myself I didn't have drunk people wandering around the hotel breaking stuff or roaming the parking ramp trying to find their car or demanding food or a place where they can get food. How could I cope with entire night that didn't involve the angry glare of a boyfriend who's girlfriend...

haha. That reminds me of the last time I was staying in New Orleans...I flew in on a Friday night and my friends were arriving late Sat afternoon. I decided to take the street car downtown. I went to see a movie and then had a lot to drink. I ended up getting on the wrong streetcar trying to get back to the hotel. I finally made it back, stumbling in the door, asking the desk boys where I could get some great chinese food. They kept laughing at me and I kept flirting with them.
Then the next day I brought my friend to my hotel (she was staying 10 blocks away from me) and I had lost my room key and the desk boys kept following me around.

Well it sounds like you have an interesting job. I hope it pays well. It would be hard to put up with that all the time.
Thanks for the advice. I am kind of leaning towards the hard drive now, but I think secretly I am still trying to convince myself to get both Well see.

Finally, it is starting to get cold again here. Every year it seems to take longer and longer to hit that freezing mark. Now maybe my apartment will drop below 90 degrees during the day. I actually burned out the motor on one my fans the other day. Three months non-stop blowing and it just gave out (I know what you're thinking and that's NOT...

I'm enjoying the newly arrived crisp air, too. In the winter, I spend lots of time baking and cooking, and as soon as the crisp weather comes in, I start. By this time next week, I'll be back to the routine of making an awesome tomato soup and mini pesto provolone open faced sandwiches. And, the best part is the apple crisp. I make at least one apple crisp a week, usually with caramel or cinnamon ice cream. Yum.
Starting this week, sandlas are too cold, and it's time to get sweater shopping! Going to the Mpls farmer's market at this time of year is awesome! Your nose gets just a little cold, and there's cider or an au lait to warm up!
That's what I'm doin to celebrate the season change tomorrow...going to the farmer's market. Have fun cleaning the cabin!

I do not like that quote......perhaps because I am the biggest slacker on the planet.
Sheesh....90 degrees in your apartment? That's way too hot for inside.
Sleding, and snowboarding and all of those winter activities sound like so much fun.

GONE!!!!! ALL GONE!!!!! The Krispy Kreme donut stand!!! That bastion of hope with a center of creamy goodness as been spirited away into the night!! Curse you Marshall Fields!! Curse you!! My beautiful donut stand that I passed by every weekday on my way home has been replaced by a sunglasses display case. How can they even compare? The smell of sunglasses fails serve as...

Just a quick blast since I should be working on my friends website instead today. I actually only have a question.
As I was walking home today I happen to pass by two mind-meltingly cute girls. As I passed one of them nudged the other one and said, "See? There's a short guy." So should I feel flattered by the attention or annoyed by the...

Peanut butter M&Ms....yummy. those are my favorite kind...I thought I was the only person in the universe who liked them.
Yeah that post work haze....or the early morning haze (which I so often get) kinda makes it difficult to be witty and say things on the cuff to strangers

Peanut Butter is the best. I think the comment was OK, esp. since you didn't hear the rest of it. For example, I'm short, and I always tell people it's best to be short as a girl--because you get to date the tall ones and the short ones! So...maybe she was just saying that, and then you happened to walk by.
In any case, I like short guys, and it looks like you like girls with red hair and freckles...hmm...

Wow, and wow again!! This is probably going to seem like a blinding flash of the obvious (OW, my EYES!!), but Minneapolis is a really busy town. Having spent almost my entire time here working from 11pm to 7am I've never really had a chance to see the place during the day. How totally fun is this place? I've spent a lot of time in...

So I was watching the construction workers out my window again today and thoroughly enjoying it. There's just something really relaxing and almost uplifting about watching something tangible and useful being formed out of so much chaos. To hear them screaming and yelling at each other and hearing the enormous crashes and bangs of stuff falling over you'd think it was an absolute diseaster. Every...

and about that insurance thing, I wouldn't mind so much if I didn't need the brown car for my buisness, because I figure everone can see the yellow car and will stay out of my way......but that one is just a summer driver.....and you know, I have never driven in winter......but having two cars for different seasons makes me feel so cool....and rich.....which would make me a liar......and I'm about to tangent I can feel it...so I best get going. word.

Arghhh!!!!! Can't frickin' concentrate!! I've got six different notebooks scattered around ranging fomr my philosophy thesis to an unfinished sci-fi and I can't concentrate on any one of them long enough to accomplish anything. I thought days off were supposed to be useful. It's almost enough to want to go back to the lithium meds . . . . .almost. Tried beating my head on...

New rules for an old game.
only recently have I realized the joys of letting go.
I have been telling my self to let go, but I cant help but hold onto a lot of stuff. Maybe one of these days I will truly convince myself to take my advice.
Oh and construction is so annoying. Orange cones line the highways and byways no matter where I want to go. Plus they are digging up the street right in front of my house. Very frustrating. Its supposed to be worth it. So I hear.
