Well what an odd last 24 hours its been. Sunday I went to se e the Brothers Grimm in the morning. Well I enjoyed it, and frankly I cannot see why there have been so many negative reviews of this film?
After the film I went round to see my Dad as planned. If I'd gone home first I would have gheard the telephone message from my Aunt telling me to take him to hospital, as it was I landed at Dands to find him dithering over weither to go to hospital or not. He'd woke up that morning with pains in his chest, which apparently he'd been getting on and off for a while now and had been hoping they'd just gop away!
Took him to the local A & E, where he was ECG'd and X-Rayed and god knows what elsed. He ended up haviung to stay in overnight wired to some kind of Monitor.
Anyway, he was discharged this morning, with some more tablets (to add to his already extensive daily intake!) and a spray THAT MUST NEVER LEAVE HIS SIDE!!! This was drummed home by the dispensing Nurse. Apparently this could be angina or at least its early stages. Given family history and Dad's other problems not really a surprise. So hopefully this will not get in the way of our Hols (3 wks and counting!) but I'm going to try and get some extra travel insurance cover for him just in case. Bugger, stll it's times like this that your priorites sort themselves out, I just hope we can go away and have a bloody good time?
