Well that's cheered me up. Booked travel & Accom' for the Great British Beer Festival in London in August.

The Flight has cost me 26 because I used the money off voucher I got for not having a working videoscreen on my flight to Las Vegas!

Staying in a Travelodge right in the centre of London for the night for the grand total of 26...

Bloody Hell, let things slide on herre again so I suppose I'd better do an update?

Met someone new last week she's rather nice and will be taking her for a curry on Saturday night (That's not a euphamism, by the way!).

Spent an odd Saturday last, at the National Winter Ales Festival, in Manchester. I went on my own, planning to have a good...

Didn't mention a single thing about my Holiday in Vegas in my last post.

It's 8 years since I was last in the USA, and that time I was in Vegas for only a couple of days.

BLOODY HELL it's grown! There was no Bellagio, Venitian, Paris, Mandalay Bay or Wynn the last ime I was there.

Did the usual holiday stuff, too much to...

Damn Jet Lag!!!!

I thought that I'd seen it off yesterday with an unexpected 14 hours uninterupted kip!

No so.... It's now 5.41am I've been awake since 3, with no obvious signs of falling asleep. I've managed so far tom write all my email replies to people who'd written to me whilst I was away. Checked all my various message boards (yes there are others!)...

Bury Beer Festival on Saturday. A little convaluted getting there but well worth the effort, just for the Suddaby's Lavender beer.

Did the usual trick of rounding off with a mental cider...

Eshewed the post pub Curry house this year, in favour of Fish supper, from new chippy at the top of my street. Bloody lovely.

Sunday spent with the intent of doing some last...

Well what an odd last 24 hours its been. Sunday I went to se e the Brothers Grimm in the morning. Well I enjoyed it, and frankly I cannot see why there have been so many negative reviews of this film?

After the film I went round to see my Dad as planned. If I'd gone home first I would have gheard the telephone message...

yeah, i know there are a LOT of poeple out there are who are lot worse of them me. When I feel bad I actually feel quite guilty, when I know that I've got it better than a lot of people. I'm just havinga bit of a tough time at the moment.

I thought Brothers Grimm looked pretty good, i'm all for light humour...
...on the complete other end of the scale, I went to see Saw 2 today. It was fucking awesome.

Went on a date last night with someone new. Doing the sums She's the 18th first date I've been on since Joanne left me over two years ago.

I've been chatting to her on the phone and over the net for a good while, but last night was the first time we could actually get around to seeing each other.

All I can say is...

aww good on you.
I have been on a million and one first dates, they never seem to go anywhere.

As for Japan - I won't be going until at least the summer... but yes, i definately plan on keeping up with SG journals. Obviously it wont be so easy, andi wont be able to be so efficient on here or update so often, but I want to share my adventure with as many people as possible!!

And Harry Potter... I read the first two books as well and then gave up. I like the films though, I think they're sort of magical in a light-hearted film kinda way. Sometimes we all need a bit of fun on film. (that sounds dirty,... haha, i didnt mean that.)

have a nice weekend !

The car went in for its service and MOT today...

Got the call I'd been dreading around noon, it had failled, oh boy had it failed!

Basically its going to cost in total not that short of 1,000.00!!!

Then I've got to TAX the bastard which is nearly another 200 for 12 months, plus there's the petrol at nearly a pound a litre!

Does make...

- although beethoven was my first film at the cinema, i dont think i was THAT young.. i mean, i know the last time i went to a film, i saw kids in the cinema that were about 3. i certainly never went to the cinema when i was that young.

that's actually one of my pet hates.. kids in cinemas mad
when i went to see Harry Potter, this woman kept "shushing" at me because i was laughing at un-funny bits. then, about half way through her toddler burst into tears and disrupted the whole film.

i guess thats my fault for going to see 'Potter

Well the cold seems to be dying off, but is holding out a last ditch redoubt in the back of my throat.

Other than that another uneventful weekend. I'm really considering takling up some kind of hobby to get me out more, trouble is the more contact I have with people the more misanthropic I become.

Anyway,, five weeks to Hols and counting...

I'd just like to go on the record and say that my boss is a obsessive compulsulsive, gobshite, cock head....

I could have stayed at home today with the way I feel at the mo' yet I crawled my way into work. And despite having a nose like a dripping tap, constantly sneezing and so far two nosebleeds I have not cried off and buggered...

Went to see KT Tunstall at the Manchester Academy on Sunday night. She's very good, quite a honey too, the way she wiggles behind that guitar.

Took a day off work on Monday to have a lie in and get some things done. Lie in was good! Some things got done, some didn't, one of which was a overdue trip to the barbers. My hair...
