This is going to seem like a complaint fest. I used to be married and thank Jesus I got a divorce. The saying you marry the family too is 100% accurate. Little did I know my exhusbands family was bat shit crazy. He moved to Tampa to start a job and I stayed behind in Colorado to sort out and have our household stuff moved. When I got there his aunt had all these plans for me and her to do. Which in essence was kind but when I kindly asked to decline and maybe reachedule it because k haven't seen my husband in a month she began to call the whole family. His mom his brothers my sister in law, that I used to be really close to, telling them I was a horrible person and I was a bitch. My ex didn't stand up for me so someone had to. We were at a family gathering and I overheard he talking to another aunt and a few of his uncles about me. At that point I had to say something. I told her that after traveling 20 hours I did not want to get up and go do things with a total stranger I did not want to do anything until I spent some time with my husband and that if she thought I was a horrible person because I wanted to wait a week before going out she could go fuck herself and she didn't have to like me but I would be damned after financially supporting her nephew and her stealing my clothes (she didn't even fit in them) and running around taking her and his mom to doctors appointments and you name it that was fine. From then on the family never had another issue with me. But my ex was still a dick so we got divorced

I hate my in-laws. My wife visits them without me at this point.
