It's time for a rant.
I have health insurance coverage through my school. I paid over $3000 for a year's worth of coverage. I've used my insurance twice in that time, for two different accidents. The total of my bills comes to approximately $3500. I just got off the phone with an insurance representative, who patiently explained to me what they will and will not cover. Before I signed the forms last year, I carefully read through everything. Apparently what I read was a bunch of bullshit. Guess how much my insurance covers? $500. Five-fucking-hundred dollars. What's the goddamn point?! I would have been better of saving my money and putting it directly towards my medical bills. For my ER visit, they are willing to reimberse $20. $20?!! It costs $400 just to walk through the emergency room doors. For my dental expenses, which are almost $1900, they will reimburse $300. $300 vs. $1900?! That's an f-ing slap in the face. I am livid right now, absofuckinglutely LIVID.
Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably-priced insurance carrier? I'm clearly going to need to find a new replacement when my insurance runs out next month. Bastards.

as for your current insurance; you signed an agreement so you probably cant sue, but if you know a lawyer try finding out what he thinks your legal options are you never know; for it seems to me you got ripped off..
