This is it. One last day of work madness until the big day. This is always the day that it is hardest to predict. There are only two possible outcomes given previous years. Bedlam. Or deserted. That’s it, nothing in between. Still, it’s going to be fun and I can look forward to starting the Christmas celebrations tonight with a delicious festive cocktail mixed by my brother. He does mix a mean cocktail.
Then it’s going to be a low key immediate family day on Christmas Day. Me, my brother, mum and dad. Since it’s just the four of us, we skip the turkey in favour of a Guinea Fowl with all the trimmings of a traditional English Christmas Lunch. Followed of course by Xmas Pud and mince pies.
After that we have family round on Boxing Day (the 26th). Not as many as previous years but with three excitable young girls coming over it will feel pretty full on. I’ve missed having family over for Christmas so this will be a nice change. I hope everyone else has a brilliant Christmas.
