That’s what it feels like at work at the moment as we approach the last ten days before Christmas. The current little idea Management wants us to put into action is facing across areas where we don’t have stock to make an improvement on store presentation. In a nutshell if we only have one line on a shelf we are to spread that stock out across the shelf. Which normally works just fine. Unless you have a crazily small amount of stock on shelf. Which is where we are at.
Milk. Meat. Fruit and Veg. All short dated fresh lines have nothing in the warehouse with very small deliveries rolling in. Which leads to the store looking very bare. You can’t face across with lines you don’t have. I’m sure by the weekend things will look a little more normal. We just have to weather things until then.
