The YMCA thing is OK, but it's not the best. They are supposed to have the kids do their homework but many times I'd pick him up and nothing would be done. Even though there are two counselors usually, they are college kids who spend most of the time talking to each other and doing their own homework. Many times, the kids who go there are older but are there because they would get in too much trouble at home. It might be an option, depending on how he does at home. The good news is we have several neighbors that are home and will be there if he needs anything. Also, his dad works maybe 5 minutes away, so he can come home at a moments' notice. Anyway, it just seems to be the best thing for now. I'm hoping that in about 3 months, I can go part-time and be home more. You're so sweet to be concerned.
