So then, it's been a while huh?
I've fianlly managed to muster up the motivation to update this thing. I do still pass through here quite regularly, I just rarely have the time or inclination to write anything.
I'm just coming to the end of a week off work. It's the first proper time off - apart for going on tour of course - that I've had since I took promotion at work way back in March.
Christmas at work was hellishly busy, and so to take a break from society, I spent my holiday hiding at a gorgeous little cottage up in the lake district. The cottage was tucked away up in the woods. It had a real log burning fire, and a little stream running through the garden, and most important of all - no mobile phone reception.
I
've been reading lots of Murakami. The guy is a genius.
I've been taking long walks up in the hills, and enjoying the crisp clean air
And most importantly of all, I've been feeding my new vice - American Dad!!!
I think I've watched all of season 1, and half of season 2 this week!
Holiday aside, I've been having a blast with the band. Our album is set for release in the US at some point this year, preceded by release on itunes next month. To celebrate, we've had the artwork totally redesigned. I absolutely love how it looks!!!
We're off over to tour Ireland for the first time in a few weeks. I can't wait to get out on the road again. In a moment of pure insanity, we're taking Los Mendozas with us for the tour.
It will be a miracle if someone doesn't get hospitlaised at some point on the tour - even if it is for alcohol poisoning.
Right then, I'm going to retire back under my blanket, and drink some tea whilst trying to pretend the real world doesn't exist.

i dunno what to say about phil really. i've never been in a situation before where band members truly just don't agree on anything, and totally refuse to compromise or back down.
i know you guys have lost and gained members before, so probably do understand. all i can say is - yeah, phil was great soundwise...but luckily you never had to be in a band with him! unfortunately, we had to discover the joys of Phil for ourselves!
still gutted you guys split. are you gonna start anything new up?
