I'm not really much of a festive person, Halloween is fun but badly done in new zealand, unlike back home. Christmas and Easter stink of corporate greed and have religious connatations.

St Patricks Day isn't much better but it gives me an excuse to wake up early, have a pint or 5 of stout for breakfast and go to work half cut. Now that is my idea of a festive activity.

Last night i went and did something i never thought i would go and do and even more so, enjoy. I went and watched kick boxing with KT, Lucy and Chanelle. I'm quite opposed to violence in general, well, except for video games and movies.

Anyways, long story short, it was awesome. All the fighters were professional about the whole thing of hitting each other and all the fights were clean. I also finally got to watch Ritchie "HARDCORE" Stewart fight. I'm quite happy to say that i know him on a first name basis after watching him fight.

In my never ending quest to avoid sobriety i'll be attending Car Yard Chaos tonight and tomorrow i'll be sure to sleep in and avoid all them freaks who are going to run the round the bays fun run.. losers.
