I have not been on IRC for some time now because of school. I caught part of the Xenia Seeberg chat, then something happened (I don't remeber what) and I ended up missing the larger part in the middle. I don't remember - what is your IRC-handle, and what Lexx IRC group do you frequent? Anyway, I am rebuilding my 'puter as I write, so I definitely won't be on this weekend.

I got really fed up with all the hassle of self-employment. I mean, you pay someone thousands of dollars for merchandise and they act like it's a pittance. I had to deal with more corporate bullshit as an SMB customer of corporations than I ever did actually working for corporations. Nope, I wanna stay in academia for sure. Wish I had some advice for you. All I can tell you is that self-employment is just a way for corporations not to pay you benefits or have to worry about any labor laws with you. Anyway, what is it? Does Lip Service have merchandise you can't get elsewhere?

Army surplus?! I have been a pacifist my whole life, so I finally gave up the army surplus, which is unfortunate for me because, for example, Doc's cost 3-4 times what combat boots cost and aren't nearly as rugged. Will you be carrying any organic-cotton or hemp army jackets?
