ok so I took some more "interesting" shots
apparently the subject of those test shots wasn't exciting enough for some haha
however, I did find it a challenge to take self portraits with this new lens (50mm f/1.4)
though this lens makes beautiful images and has great depth of field...it doesn't work well to take self portraits because there is no zooming in and out and I found that i was often too close to the camera to take self shots like i normally take.
and that's with the remote. there is really no way for me to hold the camera and take self portraits..though i did try but didn't get very good shots..just blur mostly ...unless I shoot in the mirror...which i actually did today as you'll see
some of the shots are interesting, but framed differently than I had expected or wanted ...ie cut off or focused on the background/foreground rather than me ...you'll see what i mean
after these you may be tired of seeing my belly!

we saw oh no! and the tiger pit, they were pretty awesome. check out the song Black Holly, they played it there and just rocked it.
