QUESTIONS FROM MEMBERS:
@sorcerer333 asked Do you have a favourite setting or style for your photoshoots?
I actually do have a favorite setting! It’s usually the bathroom because I feel that using and utilizing the counters, especially the mirrors, gives you a better depth to a set. There’s so many levels that you can photograph. From the floor, to the counter, to the reflection in the mirror, to the shower or the bathtub. I feel that it’s more versatile because you have so much more potential to express yourself in a contained space and you would need to use your body more to express your story in your photoset.

@juliju asked What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about helping people; making people happy and laugh. Because of my passion for helping people, I work in the healthcare field and I feel that my job does help people whether that’s making them feel happy because they’re being listened to or providing them with the resources they need to feel better. Even the slightest of help makes me feel like I accomplished something and that makes my day!
@babel asked What are your goals for 2024?
My goals for 2024 are small and reachable goals, but I feel that they’re very important. For starters, I want to be more happy with my body so I’m taking the necessary steps to eat healthier this year and not intake so much alcohol, rather just enjoy food in a way where I don’t have to count calories. Another goal is to read more books this year, and take a dive in my passions and hobbies that I really enjoyed doing for my mental health. I also just wanna be happy and do more for myself, and learn to say no when I know I have a lot on my plate.

I have never been to Ireland, but it is one of the many places I would love to visit one day including Italy, France, and Japan.

@sdawg74 asked Have you met and befriended any interesting people from SG? Is there any bestie you still keep in touch with?
I have met a lot of girls from SG actually, a few years back before Covid. I was part of the troops that put up posters for the Blackheart Burlesque show, and got to meet so many people including Missy. It was a fun and great experience. One that I will never forget. I haven’t kept in contact with a lot of people because I live very far away from downtown LA. I’m at High Desert, right in-between Joshua tree and Amboy. Not many people live close to me so it’s not like I can keep a relationship with a lot of SG models, but I wish I could - that would be amazing.
@warrior311 asked Are there any interesting hobbies you’re into?
I have a lot of hobbies, but currently I’m into diamond painting. It’s a great way to relieve anxiety and stress, and it’s kind of meditating for me. Other hobbies are reading, journal writing, and I’m looking into more hobbies this year to do and just enjoy.

What impact has your culture / identity had on your modeling journey?
Quite frankly, a lot! Being a Latina, and short, has not been very easy for my modeling journey. I’ve always wanted to be a model but given my shortness, and also having been in a car accident that scarred my left leg, I wasn’t making far in that career. I honestly thought that my modeling journey was over with until I came across SG. My cultural background has also made it hard by being raised in a household that has always been so negative towards our women and showing too much skin. I have unlocked the support that I needed. It wasn’t until I joined SG that I found I can finally be who I am. I really want it to be without judgment, and it’s a great feeling.
What is your favorite form of self expression?
One of my favorite forms of self expression has to be dancing. I love to dance salsa and merengue. The way you’re able to move to the rhythm of those types of music; you can literally release so much tension and it’s also a great work out. Lol! Other forms would be reading, writing, and cooking. With cooking, I’m able to create different types of meals that incorporate my cultural recipes with newer foods.

What is your favorite form of self-care OR what is your self-care routine?
I don’t necessarily have one that I do all the time. I enjoy waking up early, making my coffee, and reading a few chapters of my book. I also write on my journal and try to meal plan for the week. I would Love to have a better one, but I have no clue where to even start!
What part of your beauty routine makes you feel most confident?
The beauty routine that makes me feel most confident is when I wear no makeup then moisturize, and just wear my sweatpants and a tank top.

What impact has SG had in discovering yourself as a person and a model?
SuicideGirls has had a huge impact when it comes to my modeling. I never did fit into the "typical" model because I did not fit the mold they created. Because of SuicideGirls, I was able to discover myself in ways that I probably never would have been able to on other sites. I was accepted for the way I look and who I can truly be, with scars tattoos and different hair colors. I just felt right at home and I’ve been able to express myself in ways that I never thought could be possible.
Share a memorable experience from your point of view as an alternative model in your ______ community
A memorable experience that I can share being an alternative model in my Latin community is that I was able to help other girls come out of their shells. And, because SuicideGirls has done so much, I was able to come out as a lesbian and I was accepted with open arms in my community.

Is there anything else you want to share about your ____ community?
Being part of a Latin community can be really hard, but so worth it. I was able to except myself for who I truly am and help others to fit in my shoes. It has been a truly great journey. -- @amorous
