My kittie is missing!!!!! I haven't seen her in a week .
And my roomate's cat is sick, maybe dying so he is really sad, which sucks because tomorrow is his birthday and he will be sad on his birthday.
in happier news, i might be going to Paris instead of Mexico, my friend found really cheap tickets to Paris. I figure Mexico is closer so I could go there some other time.
Did you know that a gecko has the sticking power to support its own body weight and much, much more? The sticking power on the sole of a geckos feet can support about 400 times as much as the animals body weight. The natural adhesive on this animals feet is clean, reusable, and can work on all surfaces, wet or dry.
Scientists at the University of Manchester in England and the Institute for Microelectronics Technology in Russia have created "gecko tape." It is closer to this animals sticking power than any other gecko-styled adhesive so far. A prototype patch of one-square-centimeter can bear about three kilograms, almost one-third the weight that the same area of gecko sole can support.
Andre Geim of the University of Manchester, along with his colleagues, claim that the tape can be scaled to human dimensions. Imagine dangling from the ceiling wearing a "gecko glove." One of the possibilities might be using this tape to hold tissues together after surgery.
The gecko tape is modeled on the gecko sole and is made by fabricating a tidy array of microscale hairs out of a flexible and wear resistant plastic called polyimide. The density and arrangement of hairs maximize the number of hairs contacting a surface when mounted on a flexible base. The tape, unlike the geckos sole, does begin to lose its sticking power after about five applications to a surface. With repeated applications, however, the gecko tapes hairs get soggy, bunch together, and clump onto the tapes base. This happens even when the tape is attached to surfaces that feel dry to the touch because these surfaces carry a layer of water two or three atoms thick. To produce a long-lasting gecko tape would require water-resistant substances that are more difficult to mold than polymide.

Poor kitties...hopefully your cat makes it back...maybe the other cat is sad because your cat is gone...I hope that's it...
And also, i never knew the possibilities of Geckos! I am enlightened!
