Now that the holidays are mostly over, I'll stop talking about garbage, waste and donating. For now....
I was happy to only receive two gifts this year, one of which is intangible. My mother bought me a membership to OMSI, for those of you not in Oregon, that is the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Very good gift, indeed. My sister bought me a couple t-shirts, where part of the proceeds go to the Oregon Humane Society. One of them has a panda, a tiger and an elephant on it and says, "Save an Animal, Save the World." I don't normally wear shirts with text or pictures, but I will make an exception I think the best gift I got though, was old family photos. This was not intended to be a gift, but my mom let me take some as I don't have any. Here are a few.
I was even a bug girl when I was a kid!
Me, my grandpa and my little sister.
So what was up with all the snow, Portland? It's gone now and good riddance.
I normally like snow, but maybe because I am used to normal Portland snow where we get a couple inches and it melts in a day or so.
I went with this dude, Zachary_, to his company Christmas party. Here are some photos.
Did you know that there is a mite that mates with its siblings? That's not the weird part. The males mate with their sisters while still in the womb, so when they are born, the males die because they have already fulfilled their duty. What a life, eh?
My cat is making it difficult to type, but she's so damn cute, I am going to let her.
