I can't believe the amount of snow here. I love it. I haven't spent an entire winter up here since I was 18. I forgot how beautiful it is. Although I don't really care for driving in it.
I've started building a quinzhee in the bush behind my house. A quinzhee is a snow shelter that you make by piling snow into a dome shape, letting it freeze and then digging out the inside. I used to make them as a kid every winter because I went to a really ghetto country school that didn't have a gym. It was our only winter activity other than soccer. And getting hit in the face with a frozen soccer ball in February SUCKS. I figure with work and everything else I have to do, I should finish it in about three weeks...if it keeps snowing and gets a bit colder at night. Then I'm moving in. Winter camping is so great. Anyone with any interest in the outdoors should try it!
My friends and I have also put a curling team together. We are the youngest team by about twenty years and the worst team. I'm pretty much just in it for the beer afterwards. It's been a lot of fun so far and all the other teams nice. Thankfully, they don't seem to care how bad/rediculous we are. They're just happy more people are coming out.
My trip to Southern Ontario is a go. Yay! January 3-7. A few days in Toronto and maybe a day in Guelph. I still have stuff at my ex's place that I should probably get. Bleh. That's going to be super-fun. Sense the sarcasm?
This has just been melting me.
