internet has been down for a few days.
my connection is provided through a wire (this wire, rcn has assured me in every way is not their property and they claim no responsibility for its maintenence or making sure this wire is in quality condition so that through it, i might have a quality reception) which has been sagging towards the ground gradually for the past year.
likely, due to the local squirrel population wanting to use everything as sparring territory (as my herb garden will also testify to) this wire was weighted free of its weak connection and collapsed to the ground.
rcn was kind enough to offer to come fix this issue, HOWEVER claimed that if by chance the problem were to "fix itself" before a tech came out, that there would be an added $50 charge to the bill.
