Aveda For Men Epiphany
I have an Aveda school not too far from me. It rocks. I go in pretty much for the cheap but awesome haircuts and having a student and 1-2 instructors putting their hands in my hair at the same time in debate on how best to "do me" is quite lovely.
My scalp gets irritated to insanity by most shampoos and conditioners. So for the past few years I have used Nioxin, which has been the only thing that has worked well. Until Aveda recently put out their line for guys. I was really skeptical, but I thought I'd try it and if it sucked, I would return it in 30 days, yadda yadda yadda....
It works!
But it has a funky smell. All the girls at Aveda were talking about it and saying they like the smell. I hate anything that is perfumey and to me the smell has been an awkward adjustment. But today I think I figured out what this underlying scent is in the product that has been making me grimace and contort!
Yep... I am pretty sure it's the smell of cedar. And since scent is the strongest sense tied to memory, cedar makes me think of cleaning the hamster crap out of the cage when I was a kid.

If you don't like the smell of your shampoo, why not use a conditioner that smells good? Just use a really light conditioner, but something you like the smell of. Or, put deoderant on your head
Hope all is well with you hon Haven't talked to you in a while.
