I haven't really introduced myself yet so I want to do that; I want to talk about myself and my sets and my reason for joining Suicide Girls!
Here we go!
My name is Peri! (It's actually Lara, but I prefer Peri).
I'm currently a full time student, studying a Bachelor of Arts with an Ancient History major (Egypt and the Near East).
So if I ever don't post for a while, it's because I'm drowning in books, articles, journals, documents, object studies and hell maybe I've fallen into a giant ancient ceramic pot and can't get out because I'm actually pygmy sized...
I'm also studying Gender Studies, which is really interesting, I make a lot of sassy remarks about the government under my breath because I'm just rude like that >. <
I like to think of myself as open minded, but I'm actually very stubborn and stuck in my ways >. <

I started modelling back in 2011, I actually did a bridal lingerie catwalk for Intimo Lingerie, which is an Australia brand of lingerie, they sell similar to the way Avon does I guess (if you're America), I'm not sure if Avon does like parties..? But what they do is they bring catalogues and the range with them to your house and you invite your friends over and you buy/try lingerie ^.^"
Anyway, that was pretty much my first real modelling, it was super fun! ^.^
Almost a year later I had my first photo shoot with my best friend Vicki, she went to school with the photographer and they had been friends ever since ^.^"
Can you believe my first photoshoot was a sexy nude shoot!!!
I can't!!! But it happened! ^.^"
I did quite a few shoots here and there, but when I joined Suicide Girls end of 2013 was really when I felt like I could do something special and important!
I want to show woman that they can be beautiful even with their imperfections, for me it's my scars and weird knees O.0
I want people to feel comfortable with themselves, I mean, were YOU born wrapped in clothes? I didn't think so.. ^.~
I felt and feel that Suicide Girls is one of the greatest places to flaunt your freaky fabulous flaws! (Anyone else watch Monster High..? >. <")
My first set Hearth, shot by @nekophilliac , is about getting cosy in front of the fireplace in winter surrounded by pillows and getting to know your bookshelf a little, I originally wanted to go with just Harry Potter books, but turns out another girl had already done that, but I still had fun going through the mini book about cats and the book about natural therapies ^.^
My second set Art Therapy, another by @nekophilliac ; I love art, I love looking at it and analysing it, appreciating it and doing it!!! Although the painting I did during this, didn't turn out... Like anything, I've still kept it and I won't be painting over it because it's a memory that I enjoy ^.^
@nekophilliac is a gorgeous woman, a talented photographer, and absolutely hilarious and darling person to be around!!
No matter how far away she is, I won't ever forget her, her kindness, and friendship.
Less than a year and a LOT of life dramas later, I finally shoot my third set!!

I was nervous because I really loved her as a model, so I was nervous about being judged as a bad model >. <"
But she was really great to work with so I hope that means we collaborate well together and that I'm not a model to shoot ^.^"
With my set True Blue, I really just wanted to do something relaxing and simple... I feel like I suit lazy very well ^.^"
