So I am cranky. I applied to a group a few months back, and was promptly rejected, on the basis that I hadn't been active long enough to suit the group owner's standards. So I bide my time for a few months, make comments, hang out in chat and in groups as time permits, update my blog every so often, and try again.
I get rejected without comment, and my inquiry as to why goes unanswered. And all I can assume, without any actual explanation, is that I was rejected in accordance with rules altered in the meantime, regarding how often I have to make blog posts of my own and whether or not I have a certain ratio of guy-friends to girl-friends on here.
That's just frustrating, y'know? Having to jump through an ever-changing set of hoops just to satisfy some guy's standards of who he wants in his group. I'm willing to put up with a lot, or be patient, but I have my limits about what sort of effort is worth the result, and frankly, I start wondering if I really want to be in a group with entry rules that inflexible.
Sigh.
