deux. I start my new job tonight, I'm pretty excited. Once I post this I'm going to start preparing for it.
trois. Sometimes you just have to trust in the mechanisms of the artificial intelligence of the shuffle mode on your mp3 player. No need to be impatient and skip through the songs lightening fast. Just chill, and let the music happen.
quatre. If it keeps on raining, the levee's going to break, when the levee breaks, got no place to stay . . .
cinq. Still no hair pictures. Sometime this week maybe, I have work to do today.

Peculiar Perdita Particular: When I was a small child, I was obsessed with eating things "evenly" i.e. having an even number of foodstuffs to eat, and chewing equally on both sides; I hated having odd numbers because I would have to divide things in half. This is interesting in my (semi)adulthood, specifically after taking Japanese, because the number four has 2 words for it, and one of them is homonymic for the word for death, the kanji symbol (as well as context obviously) is different for each word. And so in Japan even numbered things are considered bad luck and when giving gifts it is auspicious to have multiple items as 3 or 5 rather than 4.

And tell me about this cabaret. I haven't heard a thing about it. What sort of acts are usually on the bill?
