I'm so fucking pissed right now. For 2 reasons.
1. So everyone knows that in late february I applied for an apartment with one of my friends and they've been taking an unusually long time to process our application and tell us if we've been aprroved.
I've been calling and asking and dropping by and they keep saying still pending. we're supposed to move in on the 20th and still no word. So I went in today after work and asked wtf is up, right?
The girl looks at me funny and says, "We called your roommate last thursday and told her she had something on her credit and she either needs to pay that bill or the deposit will double. I talked to her about it yesterday too."
WOW. Thanks a lot for fucking letting me know this, roomie! She didn't mention it at ALL and in fact yesterday she text me to ask if I had heard anything yet.WHY would she do that? She knew what the hold up was already. Wouldn't you think to mention that to your future roommate?
I'm hella pissed! We even had a whole conversation about communication and how we had to trust eachother because a lot of shit could go wrong if we didn't make sure we communicated problems and stuff.
So, I can totally understand if you were 14 and signed up for some stupid book club and never paid the bill and then totally forgot about it. It happens. But the fact that you HID IT and LIED (because omitting facts is lying) makes me think that you're a shady person and how am I supposed to trust you with paying the rent and living in the place I keep my valuables if I can't even trust you to be honest with something that small???
Her excuse was that its totally not like her to be like that and she's just going through a lot the past couple days....totally besides the point if you're going through a lot. If this is any indication of the future its not good. If you can't function and take care of your responsibilities even when you're having a bad day then you're not responsible enough to live on your own.
I'm not gunna legally bind myself to pay that amount of rent with someone who can't find the courtesy to tell me about something that directly affects me! What happens if she doesn't have the rent? Is she just gunna neglect to tell me and then run off?? Fuck that!
