I'm excited! Tomorrow I'm taking a half-day at work to go down to the court and start the process to legally change my name / gender on my info. I have to run an ad for a month or something like that. Statement of intent or some such thing. Can't remember the term. I'm kinda hoping that means that I'll be able to get it all sorted out by my birthday in five weeks. That would be the best present.

I guess this makes me a little anxious, too. I'm worried that I'm gonna mess it up or something and it's gonna be a bigger deal than I thought. I'm a frickin' idiot with forms. We'll see. I'm gonna wake up way early for it.

Also in the news... how rad is all this rain? It's so nice. I don't mind the cold when it's rainy. My dogs hate it so hard, though. They get so bummed having to go out in it. Rain is probably a bigger bummer the smaller you are.

Oh, my dad is coming out next weekend, I think. Or he's trying to. It'll be the first time he's seen me since I went full time. Scary! I hope he's ok with everything. My dad is awesome. For 81, he took everything really well when I told him which totally surprised me and everyone.

Ok, today is a big day for me. I have a lot, a loooooot to do. I need to figure it all out and start my day.
