Well, you all missed it. My friends, the Sons of the Addicted, rocked the fucking socks right off of the Gothic Theater and all of the bands that played after them. I've personally never heard them sound so good, better even than their album I think. I have no doubt they will be headlining at the Gothic, and many other venues, before the summer is out.
I did pretty well myself. I sold CDs for the guys whilst slinging some of my own wares. I sold my Brass Hexlace, which has been sitting in a drawer for four years since I made it, another nickle silver cuff (girls really seem to like them) two copper and aluminum bracelets, img]/media/members/1/79/306791/186637/2795578_attach.jpg[/img] three pairs of earrings,[ and I had a guy put in an order for a belt. I made something like $170 or so, enough to pay for my entire trip and then some. I'll chalk it up as a success.
I'm seriously entertaining the idea of moving to the Washington Park area of Denver after hanging out there this weekend. It really seems like my kind of place, with none of the misconceptions I had about city life.
Once upon a time, I was the first one amongst our friends to venture out of town, to Telluride, where I made a good life for myself for quite a while. After about a year, while visiting Montrose, I met with my friend Stosch of the afore mentioned band, Sons of the Addicted. He was in a bad state of depression over his life there, and his prospects for the future, so I offered him to come stay with me in my tiny apartment until he found his feet. And found them he did, now living in the city, his band quickly on the rise to fame, making friends and finding his place in the world. Now he say's it's come full circle, and it's time for me to pack up my stuff, and come sleep on his floor in his tiny apartment and find my new way in the land of promise, just as he had with me, once upon a time. I think he may be right, and I'm just wasting my time here. I have a big decision to make. Wish me luck.

You should have been at the Q on Sat. I was the girl shoving some skinny little punk around the dance floor.
