Personally, I accept the existence of ghosts and from that acceptance, believe in the existence of some form of afterlife, be it Heaven and Hell, reincarnation, or some other form of existence. I was reading a book yesterday and one of the main characters came close to dieing which then made me consider the concept of death. It startled me when I realized that the notion of death actually terrified me. There is absolutely no way that I'm anywhere close to being ready for death. In fact, the thing about it that I find most frightening is the fact that when it happens, that is when you die, you'll be completely alone whereas for the entirety of your life you've never once been alone. There's always someone there that one could talk to, call, IM, or somehow communicate with.
